Archon — NPR AI Mod

Protostar's first companion mod. Archon replaces the neutral DefaultNpcStrategicDirector with a doctrine-driven grand-strategy brain that drives NPR behaviour through the Core INpcBrainRegistry (ADR ARC-0040).

  • Layered architecture: FSM grand-strategy Director + Blackboard + utility-AI executors.
  • Pluggable JSON doctrines (Stellaris-style personalities).
  • Difficulty-slider model: fair at base, scales with declared cheats.
  • 4X phase-aware: eXplore / eXpand / eXploit / eXterminate cadences shift with the strategic phase.

Aurora is the floor, not the target. With no mod loaded, NPR behaviour is byte-identical to the default.
